My Law Test

Just finished my test today... it was for Law Marketing. Didn't really study much... cause no mood la... people who know me, know that I can only study when the "feel" comes. If not, no matter how much you try to force me, I can't study.

You may tie me to the chair and stuff the books or notes in front of me, but I will still not be able to study...

I got 12 out of 20. Ok la... still pass... the final exam is worth 50%. Siao man...

Anyways, I'm feeling a little too tired to blog too much, so I just wanna share this email I received...

Maybe you guys have read this before but it's still pretty hilarious...

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are
things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and
are now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying
calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie there.

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS: I forget.
ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?"
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan.

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his
sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Would you repeat the question?

ATTORNEY: So the date of your conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS: Uh....

ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people.

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an
autopsy on him!

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Huh?

And, the best for last

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you
began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Well, I guess it's possible he could be out practicing law somewhere.

Hehehe... I guess that's how I feel about lawyers XD

Not wanting to insult anyone la... Just that after I came out of my exam lab, I'm like:

DIU LO... HOW COME SUCH STUPID QUESTIONS ALSO CAN COME OUT WAN?!?!?!?!

So, yea... that reminded me of the email =P

Why you should never challenge me...

Okay, let me tell you a story.

There was a girl named Anne. She has a Friendster account where she added me as her friend.

So we chat through testimonials until one day, she sent this:

' LiL TweRP '
Posted 10/5/2007 6:07 AM

* wah, must laugh tht horrible mer...
but i bet ur laughter can never beat mine.

witch- thts me. ^^

do u wan me to take a pic of me wif a broom?

u noe how muc i love to camwhore, rite?

So, I told her to take a pic of her with a broom.

She asked "Are you serious?".

I said "If not, I will start a petition to get you to do it!!!"

Again she said "You really serious?"

I said "I SENSE A CHALLENGE!!!"

So I gave her a few days to cough up the picture. I mean, it's a picture with a broom. Everyone's house sure got broom right???

Actually I would've been happy with just a picture of her HOLDING the broom or maybe standing beside it or something...

Then she sent me this...

That's supposed to be her... -___________________-|||

Anyways, since she placed such a graphic image in my head, I said "I want your pic to be like the one you draw ya!!!!!!!!"

And, today's Wednesday. The deadline.

Muahahahahaha!!!!

Here's the results XD

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But that's not it, there's more!!!

Hahaha... still got time go change outfits XD

You really love to cam-whore eh?

Lolz, anyways, everyone should head over to Anne's blog and tell her what a great sport she is for being so sporting and actually taking those pictures =D

(p.s. I wasn't kidding about the online petition XD)

** Thanks Anne for giving me permission to post this ^^ **

Now you know why you should never challenge me XD

I love this so much...

I guess most people from Penang would know about Laconic. Their shop is located in Pragin Mall and they sell contemporary handmade jewelery.

Their designs are super CUN ok... (Hehe... use Anne's expression XD)

I only managed to buy 1 of the Duo series from them when they were in KL for Valentine's Promotion. Purposely made my friend drive me all the way to Cineleisure for it ^^ (for those who don't know, I live in Cheras and it's a hell of a long way to Cineleisure).

They do sell it online as well, but the other thing stopping me from buying all the beautiful beautiful accessories is the price tag that comes with them...

SUPER EX OK?!?!?!??!?!!

But then I consider the facts that they're handmade and each & every one of them are unique, it's quite worth it. How I know they're all unique?

Well, when I bought my Duo series, I had a look at the stock they had for that particular design. While they all look alike from far, when you look closely, each of them have different carvings. So, technically, you will be the ONLY ONE with that design =)

I am the kind of person who likes to stand out, so I like to choose things that other people don't have. For example, mobile phones, if every Tom, Dick and Harry had the same model as mine, I'd trade it in an instant (only exception being my k800i cuz it's such a CUN phone XD). Even my car in Perth also is one that you rarely see around =D

Anyways, I fell in love with their new Krystallos design...

This design is so drop dead gorgeous!!!

I want to get it so badly but it comes with a RM300 price tag.

*puppy eyes*

I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone willing to donate some money to me for this???

I'll be your bitch for a week**

**Only if you donate more than RM50 Kakakakaka...

How it happened

On April 15th, 2007, I was in Northbridge (it's Perth's China town) with her (some of you would know who...) for dinner. After eating, it was raining and it was quite a walk to my car. So, we were stuck in the rain. Then I noticed the sign "The Tatt Shop".

I went "Oh, let's just go up and look at some designs and get a quote for a tattoo".

45 mins later, I came out with my dragon.

Yes people, I, Ryu, got my tattoo in a spontaneous decision while waiting for the rain to stop.

*looks around*

I'm not lying!!!!!!!!

*looks around again*

Okay, okay, it wasn't THAT spontaneous. I already knew I wanted a tatt on my wrist and I wanted a dragon. So when I went in, I just talked to the guy, Jon (or John), and he showed me a few designs. I saw my dragon online and I just knew I wanted it.

So, I asked him how much would it cost (my budget was 200AUD) and he said 130AUD. I asked if he could do it now. He said "Yea."

And the next thing I knew, I was in the chair and Jon was putting on his black latex gloves, opening a new needle.

Basically after I approved the design, he drew it on this piece of tracing paper with some kind of blueish purple ink. He then pressed it against my skin and the blue ink pattern is transfered onto my wrist.

Then the machine starts... I was kinda worried cause I saw that his hands were shaking when he was opening the new needle. Then I realized that his hand shook because the machine was always vibrating (the needle is supposed to be going up & down really fast).

The first sensation was "Oh, this isn't too bad..."

The second sensation when he pressed down was "Aiyeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

After that my hand just got rather numb. It still hurt, but it's a bearable pain. So, it's good =)

And to show you guys how it went, here's a collage:

(p.s. click to enlarge)

And that was how I got my tattoo =)

Let me leave you guys with a funny pic...

Why is this funny?

Cause...

THAT'S MY HOUSE!!!!!!!! I NEED TO TURN LEFT TO GET HOME!!!!

Lolz... Actually road workers placed that in front of my house because the junction further down the road was closed.

But I found it funny.

Don't you guys think so? XD

The other thing I do when I'm stressed...

Can you guess what I did right after my intensive class on Sunday?

Let me tell you la...

I went here:

Ok la... I know the pic is blurry but I blame it on the lighting of the place. My k800i is still in very tip top shape *crosses fingers*

This is Arirang at Subiaco. I just loved the place. I went with my housemate to "celebrate" our freedom from the evil evil classes of Competitive Marketing Strategies and also to celebrate her belated birthday la...

Anyways, when I'm stressed, I EAT!!!!

Look at what we ordered:

This came with the main course. The chicken was super super good!!! I'd give it a 8/10. It was like perfectly cooked, just nice & tender. Or maybe cause I was damn hungry... either way, it was good XD

This was hers. I'm not so much of a seafood fan. This banquet had mussels, prawns, scallops & squid. Along with the veges you see... Nothing special except for the marinated chilli squid. Whoa, super power ok??? Hehehe...

This was mine. Okay, it looks worse than it tastes.

This one also goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. It's not duck ok? It's chicken. Yeap, marinated chilli chicken.

I think this is the reason why the BBQ here tastes so much better than other places. In other places, they use like this electric heating pan for grilling. More convenient for the store and easier to clean I guess, but the taste seems to be missing something.

This place uses COALS. They got this lil machine thing that will keep the smoke from coming out, so only the heat from the coals is released to cook the food. It was burning red hot. Don't know why the flames turned out purple... weird...

And lastly, the food being grilled ^^ Looks so good... makes me wanna go back again.

All together we spent about 60bux for all that. 30 per person. Not bad la =)

I'd rate the place a 8/10 overall for food & atmosphere & service.

On another note, things have not been going well for me lately. Not only studies, but everything in general... Feel like shit as well...

But my "twin" bro shared a nice quote with me. Well, more like an inspirational phrase:

"There's always a light at the end of the tunnel-
if not, make sure you bring a torchlight"

Ciao peeps...

Happy Birthday to you

It's her birthday today.

*smiles*

Today's also the day of my exam. Sighz... so stress. First time study until headache. As in serious migraine. Not a throbbing pain like usual headaches... It's a stabbing numbing pain...

Oh well, for those who are stressed like me, have a dose of this:

Just a short update, I know. Shall update a longer post after this weekend. Can you believe I have classes on Saturday & Sunday? From 9.30am to 4pm...

Die la... who ask me go take intensive class for such a hard subject................

I love green tea cake.

Was that random?

Guess not... maybe?

I think I just went crazy...

When I am stressed...

When people have a presentation to give in less than 24 hours and a very important (not to mention super duper hard) exam on Friday (technically 3 days away since it's 1:40am now), they would either be rehearsing their key points, or just studying.

What do I do?

I do this...

. . .

Yes... This is how I cope with stress.

I procrastinate XD

(But the pic cute right? Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!)

Okay-lah, I have done SOME work. I have finished my cue cards for my presentation and I'm gonna start on reading some case studies for the exam.

Lucky I don't have to work tomorrow. So I'm just gonna burn midnight oil...

Super sucks la...

Can someone please throw some lemons at Wade Jarvis for me???

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
