Meet Mr. FuGu!!!

I went to Carousel shopping mall last Thursday to collect the flowers I ordered. But before that I went walking around, window shopping and also just to see if I could find a bargain.

Then I remembered the air freshener in my car wasn't working anymore, so I went looking for another one. Wanted to get AmbiPur but was so expensive... and they didn't have the scent I wanted.

And then I saw this really cute lil thing... I've named it Mr. FuGu!!! Why?

Have a look ^^

Tada~~ Mr. FuGu ^^ Isn't he adorable??? He has a Lemon Scent =D

Touch touch Mr. FuGu. He can bounce ^^

Stupid thing didn't have a good base... it wouldn't stick to my car's dashboard...

Oh well, shall stick some Bluetack under it later to get it to stick...

But in conclusion, Mr. FuGu's cute ^^

Quickie update

I'm sorry for the lack of updates but I will make it up to you guys pretty soon. Currently pretty busy with the return of G =D

Advertising Creativity

Whenever I tell people that I have a degree in Psychology, they all go

"Whoa..."

But what they don't know is that it's really no big deal. It's just a normal, general degree. I can't practice psychology with just a degree. And being a psychologist is not easy, it's not just listening to crazy people, the field of psychology is just so broad.

And when I tell people that I've changed my field to Marketing, they all go

"Eh? But it's so different!!! Marketing is related with Psychology wan meh?"

The answer: YES.

Psychology goes into so many different things, especially in daily life. We just don't notice it.

And well, after I explain that it IS indeed related, they will ask

"Why you wanna change?"

Well, I never really managed to explain WHY I want to change, but after seeing this recent TV ad, I think this is the BEST way to SHOW you guys...

I guess the reason I changed is because I want to be able to create an ad like that. It doesn't need special effects or celebrity endorsers or a high budget... it is simple, meaningful and most importantly, it gets the message across.

It's that simple =)

Seafood TBs in Malaysia

First of, let me explain that this is purely my own views towards this Malaysian culture of “lala-ness”. This post is purely for entertainment and if you get upset by it there are only 2 reasons:

1. You have no sense of humor; 2. You are one of them.

Btw. As I mentioned in the earlier post, this is about seafood TBs. In other words, Tomboys. I am not going to talk about lala-muis or sihum zais because I think a lot of people know about them already. Basically I’m bringing out a different subculture XD

Oh, there's foul language in this post. So if you're under 18, look away. Or just don't repeat those words to your mom ok? XD

One more thing, I think the seafood knew I was coming because when I began my search for the lala pics, I couldn't find much. But not to worry, I managed to dig up a few... see the things I go through to keep you people entertained *shakes head* Hahaha...

There are 2 main dimensions to determine lala-ness: Outlook and Mentality.

Outlook:

Hair

Spiky, multicoloured and outrageous hairstyles. Usually dyed GOLD or just plain BLEACHED.

Such styles require the use of 1 can of wax/gel/mud/clay/hairspray/superglue each time. If they are going to go out in the morning, they have to start styling the night before.

Interesting note: There are seasons for the colours to appear. From January to November, it’s all darkness. Black hair only. Occasional brown but usually will still turn back black. Then not 3 days after December, the colours start to bloom: all colours of the rainbow.

Why? School holidays ma…

Dressing

You can never miss them. You will see their clothes from a mile away. Why? Cause it is so SHINING!!! Better than glow in the dark.

Here’s a list of what they must include in their outfit (missing one also will die). Oh, since they’re school students, they can only go out during the weekends. But they spend all week planning their outfit, thus, not paying attention in school, thus, limited *ahem* knowledge...

  1. Big, big, big, big, big, big, big shirts. Must be of a dark colour with bright words/scribbles/nonsense/skulls/crosses. When I say bright, I mean silver, pink, gold.
  2. Long sleeved shirts. Even if it’s 30 degrees outside, they are still clad in long sleeves.
  3. Jackets. BIG BIG BIG HUMONGOUS JACKETS WHICH ARE SO FREAKING THICK THAT MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE DUMPLINGS. Favourite jacket brand: BAPE. In other words, huge and ridiculous colours.
  4. Baggy pants with so many ropes/strings/chains/flaps/zips/buttons that doesn’t serve a single purpose. Except maybe help people clean the floor cause they drag it everywhere they go. Free janitorial service.
  5. Accessories are very important. They will have chains/necklaces/blingbling around their necks which look like crosses/skulls/dogtags/analbeads. How do they know when they have enough on? When they run out of accessories of course XD Besides the neck department, they will have wristbands, rings (one on each finger), headbands, bells, sunglasses (even when they are inside shopping malls they are WEARING them) and not forgetting piercingsfrom head to toe (ears must have at least 10 in each ear).
  6. Bags. Always, always sling bags for tomboys. What kind? Any kind you see in Sungei Wang or Times Square.
  7. Hats and caps. Multicoloured caps and pimp-like hats.
  8. And not forgetting thick framed glasses. Favourite brand: Xerox.

Okay, one thing that I really don’t get is how they can always wear soooooooooooooooooooooo many layers. I mean, there’s like a minimum of 3 layers and Malaysia is such a HOT and HUMID country!!!

You may argue that they’re in shopping malls with air con. But they go out on WEEKENDS where the malls are BLOODY PACKED!!!

This is what I mean... she's at the BEACH and she's wearing 3 layers... No wonder she needs 2 cokes to cool her down...

HARLOW?!?! Does the term OVER-DRESSED means anything to you???

The thing that annoys me is that they are dressed up like dumplings, walk with a swagger and are always trying to act so cool. Not to mention their sense of "fashion".

[insert comment here]

Cause I really have no comment for this one...

Oh, and they all look alike. Just like clones:

It’s a trick question. There is no difference.

Under aged smoking

They are all barely 16, but smoking.

If you want to smoke, it’s your own business. But PLEASE AT LEAST LEARN TO SMOKE PROPERLY?!?!?!

They take a puff, NEVER inhale, and just blow out smoke. Any smoker will tell you that they’re wasting cigarettes.

And yet they still continue to act cool and think they’re so dangerous because they smoke.

Mentality

They must always speak foul language. If they don’t curse in every single sentence, they will wither and die.

Most of them only speak Mandarin (nothing wrong with this) refuses to learn proper English (still nothing wrong with this) BUT insists on cursing in English (there’s something very wrong with this).

Their English vocabulary only includes these few words: Fuck, Fuck You, Fucker.

Is Fucker a good word these days? Is it cool to be called a Fucker? Kids these days...

Need I say more?

They also have a condition that I have named SWT.

Why? Not only because when you see them, you will automatically go *swt* but because they’re Stupid When Talking.

Don’t know what I mean? Look at the following picture:

See? Didn't you just *swt*???

Wow, that was a long post. Pictures are taken from Friendster. I have tried to make them as unidentifiable as possible. But there are a few that I can’t really edit. But I think they would like the attention anyways XD

Think I forgot some facts? Let me know ^^

Oh, let me leave you with the ultimate picture of a group of seafood TBs:

Note the anal beads XD

8 Random Facts About Ryu (Meme)

Dragon head tagged me... so... here it is...

HERE ARE THE RULES:

> Each blogger must post these rules first.
> Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
> Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
> At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
> Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

  1. I can't gain weight. Yes, I've tried and I've tried... nothing ever seems to work. Ice cream, KFC, all kinda junk foods, meat meat meat and even protein shakes...
  2. I studied Psychology but I don't think I learned a single thing. Maybe that's why I'm in Marketing now... XD
  3. I love gadgets. Especially mobile phones. Sony Ericsson is my favourite.
  4. I write poems, short stories and even attempted a novel once... needless to say, I failed miserably -______-"
  5. I thought myself Photoshop. That's why my designs are so retarded.
  6. I always put 'Away' in MSN to avoid talking to some people that I do not like. Evil? Yes, I am.
  7. I've used the nickname/alias 'Ryu' since I was 13 or 14.
  8. Back in highschool, I actually danced on stage with a guy in front of the whole form. It was a play, he was Cinderella and I was Prince Charming. No, I'm not kidding.
Who should I tag? I think quite a few people did this already...

  1. Jingz
  2. Anne
  3. Samantha
  4. Queenie
  5. Kang
  6. Willy
  7. Angelicz
  8. (insert name here)
Lol... wanted to tag Mich and Erlynda but I think they did this already ^^

Anyways, don't forget about Topic 1 or Topic 2. I will tally the "votes" tonight. The selected Topic will be posted soon... (not gonna make any promises just incase I can't keep it XD)

Currently it looks in favor of Topic 1...

Patriotism (Who say Malaysia kenot???)

I'm not sure if anyone has seen the following video clip. I might be outdated (I dunno la...) but I just saw this clip today. My brother sent it to me.

It's a clip of a modified version of "Negaraku". The singer's blog is here. His blog is in Chinese so I'm not so sure what is in there.

As for the song, well, it really does show a Malaysian's point of view towards the country. It's not made up or anything... just really based on facts =)

WARNING: Some may find it insulting (so don't watch ok? If you still wanna watch, don't complain it's insulting ok? Don't say I never warn... got disclaimer here ok??? If never read properly then I sue kau you wan arh...)

BUT people who have an open mind, a sense of humor and a conscious or unconscious love for our home country, Malaysia, (like me XD) will find ourselves laughing and nodding our heads saying
"Wah sai!!! So lan true wei!!!"

Well, how was it? Anyone care to put up a translation so that everyone can understand?

I might ask a friend to help me translate it if she's free =)

For those who did understand it, do tell me what you think ^^

p.s. sorry for the Cantonese, but I feel that it suits this post veli muchie XD

Actually, I am proud to be Malaysian *winkz*

A trip to AQWA

Last week I went to the Aquarium of Western Australia (a.k.a AQWA). I've been there once before but I went again cause my friend from HK wanted to go. She's gonna be leaving Perth for good soon to go back to HK and she's never been to AQWA, so... we went =D

Going there was supposed to be easy, just all the way straight down the freeway and turn left at Hepburn Avenue. Mana tau like that also I can get lost -_______-|||

So paiseh. Anyways, my great sense of direction got us back on track XD

I'm getting lazy of typing so I'll let the pictures do the talking... (there's quite a few...)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The entrance... Yes I am aware that I look over excited...
What can I say? I'm a small kid at heart ^^

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

They have tonnes of pretty pretty fishies like this...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Can I have this???
Can someone please design a lava lamp like this???

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Yea, I wasn't interested in the small crocs they had.
I prefer this dead one XD

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Nice landscaping. The first time I came, this was still under construction.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Hehehe... I miss Ikan Bakar... Ikan Pari if I'm not wrong...

There was a funny thing that happened at the sting ray bay. There was a small kid that looked at the sting ray and said
"Bad sting ray!!! You killed Steve Irwin!!!"

LOL!!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Then there were the seals.. The small one in the water is called Tasko.
I'm guessing the big one is his dad or something... I think he understands Cantonese...

Why?

Cause when I saw him, I said "Wah, lei hou fei arh!" (Wah, you're very fat!)
And he looked up with a chilling cold stare that said
"Lei mei sei ko arh?" (You never die before is it?)

Hahaha...

Then we went down to see the seals swim. Lil Tasko was just swimming around too fast to actually get a nice picture of him. Until a small girl took out a green turtle and placed it near the glass. Tasko came and I immediately give him the award of
UBER CUTEST SEA LION ALIVE.

Why?

Look at the next pic ^^

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

SUPER CUTE LA WEI!!!

I WAN TAKE HIM HOME CAN?!?!?!??!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

KYA~~~~~ *insert fan girl pic here*

I can't resist putting another pic of him up. Not only was he trying to get the turtle, he kept banging on the glass and imitating the turtle. When the girl turned the turtle around, he also rolled around!!! Lol...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

ROAR!!!

Yes, I was bored and high on sugar.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Please excuse my uber retarded look... I have no idea what happened...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Poor guy had to clean up all the fishes' shit... while sharks were swimming about...

We went on this underwater tunnel thing for 3 rounds!!!

By the time we came out, we felt dizzy already... Haha...

That was the end for AQWA, we were hungry so we went to the nearby Hillary's Harbour to eat =)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Super yummy!!! And cheap, only 6.95AUD.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Look at the fish!!! It's really very very fresh!!!

So goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Then we went to walk on the nearby beach...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Erm... yea... no comment...

Icey Ice

I wanted to post about this some time ago but I just kept putting it off. Anyways, there's this new (considered new I guess...) place in Perth called Icey Ice.

It's in Northbridge, can't remember the name of the street now though...

The inside is really nice... Just a small but delightful place =)

I love the snowflake designs on the wall ^^

It sells all kinds of desserts!!! But the most special thing here is the ICE!

They call it Snow Ice. Comes in a variety of flavours.

The secret is the way they shave the ice. They have a special machine for it. It makes the ice flakey, unlike the ice kacang you get in Malaysia which is just crushed ice...

Because it is so flakey, it's very "light" and you can actually eat alot. The ice is already flavoured, and covered with a topping of your choice. It's DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!

The following are just some that I've tried...

This came with chocolate sprinkles & condense milk. From this pic you can see how flakey the ice is. It's a whole new different experience!!!

This is like their specialty flavour. Goes very well with red bean paste.

This is normal only la...

This is better than strawberry. Not too sweet. But I still prefer mango sai mai lo at KTZ.

But in conclusion:

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the people in KL who wanna try Icey Ice, there's only 1 branch that I know of. It's in Langkawi near the cable car area ;)

Anyways, I was walking in K-mart when I saw this hilarious scene....

Funny rite? XD

Okay, it's almost the end of my post.

What?

Why no picture of me?

Want meh?

.
.
.
.
.

Okay la, I leave you with this super yeng-ness pic of me...

Yeng rite? XD
(I can sense people vomiting.... *swtz*)

p.s. Peeps, I've got a poll up in my sidebar if ya didn't notice *winkz*

Introducing Maggie ^^

I'm not sure if any of you have seen this character called Maggie. I have recently gotten addicted to this Maggie's flash games and emoticons.

Here's a sample:

Hehe... quite cute right? Although I think Onion is still cuter XD

Anyways, I've also gotten addicted to these several games:

HK Cafe

This is where you cook things like toast, instant noodles, egg and sausages for the customers in your cafe. This is really hard. But really addictive XD

My highscore is only about 2100.

Facial House

This one is a little easier. You have to do the steps of a facial. For example, use facial cleanser then steam then put mask...

My highscore: 14000

Tips: Pick up the phone when it rings & click the "OK" button to add to the timer.

Dai Pai Dong

This is really cute. You are like a roadside hawker selling seafood. When the tables place an order, you have to put the right seafood (lobster, cockles, prawn or crab) and fry it in your wok until its cooked and you serve it.

My highscore: About 9000... can't really remember...

Tips: Alwiz click on your food while frying. If not, it will burn. Oh, and for extra time, KILL THE COCKROACH!!!

Anyways, those are my 3 top favs. For the whole collection, visit www.maggiemarket.com.

Log on now, thank me later XD

It's really a great website to burn some time. It's cute, funny and ADDICTIVE!!!

If anyone of you broke my highscore, do let me know ya ^^

07.07.07

Okay, I don't really have anything to blog today. But it's such a special date. So... here's the post XD

7 is my favourite number. So... yea...

Anyways, it's my "twin"'s birthday today. So...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANIKI!!!

(p.s. Aniki means brother in Japanese)

She's destined for greatness... or something.

Why?

She's 22 today, on 07.07.07. She was also born at 3.33am.

Geng right? XD

Hehehe... Look alike or not? XD

Fortune BBQ

I have had the craving for Peking Duck ever since I blogged about me and the duck. So, I went to the Fortune BBQ restaurant in Northbridge for it. Hehehe...

I went with her and a friend from Hong Kong, Cathy.

This place is famous for its BBQ meats (duh~). The duck is amazing~ I love the duck rice. I always order that when I go there. But since there were 3 of us, we ordered the combination.

The combination of chicken, duck and SIU YOK (pork). SUPER SEDAP GILER!!!! XD

It was so long since I had Siu Yok. I just love the fatty parts and the super crunchy skin *drools* I remember that my dad would buy it for me when he goes to the market on Sunday mornings ^^

And not forgetting my craving, Peking Duck was definitely on the menu...

Hooray~~~

But this wasn't THAT nice. The wrap was a little too thick and the duck pieces weren't that crunchy... But... oh well... It's better than nothing.

Oh, mummy say must eat vege. So, we ordered Kai Lan...

Yummy Yummy~

Anyways, my exam is over now so I can actually relax a little. I've got a little project to start as well... I will blog about it when I start =)

p.s. What do you guys think about the new banner?
